Kellen is 5 months old today!
We are having so much fun with Kellen and we are so lucky that he is such an easy going, happy baby. He has mastered rolling over this month. I have seen him roll from front to back but he prefers to roll back to front. He can wiggle and move around easily so we have to be extra careful where we put him now. He has starting sitting up independently but is still a little wobbly. Kellen is growing like a weed. We aren't sure how much he weighs but know that his days in the infant car seat are numbered and he is wearing 6-12 month clothes and some 12-18 month stuff. His new talents include blowing raspberries (which is really just blowing spit) and screaming. I love reading his daily reports from daycare and my favorite this past week said that Kellen was so cute kicking and screaming on the changing table. Sounds bad but it is what he does when he's happy and excited. His favorite toys are his activity gym - he still loves hitting and grabbing at toys, his exersaucer - he is getting really good at spinning around and he knows exactly what to hit to make noise, Sofie, and his taggies blanket. He has started consistently sleeping through the night. He eats around 9:30pm, goes to sleep in his crib and we get him up around 6:15 am to eat and get dressed. It is very nice having a full night's sleep! We haven't started solids yet, will probably wait until 6 months to do so but he is definitely showing signs of being ready. I have pureed some apples, pears, mangos, carrots, butternut squash, and zucchini that are in the freezer so we're ready to go when the time comes. We are all looking forward to the next month...Aunt Tammy is coming to visit, Kellen's first Halloween, one more CU game, a flyball tournament, hopefully some time in the mountains and Thanksgiving!
PS - Will we ever get used to walking into Kellen's room and finding him sleeping like this?!?

What a little chunk, I love him! And surprise, surprise, but James has that same shirt-ha! He looks so big laying in his crib like that! James started sleeping so much better once he could get onto his belly. He was an awful back sleeper. I am so jealous of your full nights of sleep. I am holding out hope that Mac does it before 18 months :-) Happy 5 months Kellen!!
What a little sweety pie! I just want to take him and cuddle him with kissses. Isn't parenthood the greatest? It's the best and most important job you'll ever have... and you'll have it for life!
