Happy 7th Birthday Kellen!

Kellen celebrated his 7th birthday on the last day of 1st Grade. He took shark cupcakes for his class pizza party, we ate dinner at Hacienda and we had birthday cake. 

Kellen has grown so much this year...not just physically but we have seen him improve his writing, reading and focus. He has figured out that reading independently can be fun, he has enjoyed diving into more challenging books like Harry Potter, and he likes to read to Jae. 

Kellen loves to ski and has been swimming on the Foothills year round club team. He will be swimming for our neighborhood summer team this summer. He also enjoys playing soccer and is working on his baseball skills. 

I love taking Kellen new places. He seems to thrive when we are traveling or checking out a new store, park, restaurant, etc. Kellen always says he is saving his money for a big trip like Hawaii or Disney. He is always planning his next trip to the beach or fishing. Kellen's favorite thing in the world is playing board games. I cannot keep track of the number of times he says "does anyone want to play a game with me?" on a daily basis. 

Kellen is as stubborn as ever but he is also smart, thoughtful and kind. He is sweet to Jae and seems to really enjoy playing with and training Vega.
