As usual, my birthday fell on the MLK holiday weekend. We headed up to the mountains since the 3 day weekend is the perfect opportunity to get out of town. On Saturday, we took Kellen and Jae skiing. Kellen got a refresher on the bunny hill while Jae tried out her skis for the first time. Jae was very unsure of the boots and skis. After much coaxing, we got her down the hill once and then she was done. We headed home after that while Steve and Kellen hit the slopes the rest of day.
Sunday morning we went swimming. The Silverthorne Rec Center is the perfect place to play and swim some laps.
After nap time, we went to the Frisco Nordic Center to go tubing. This was Jae's first time tubing and the first time all 4 of us could go together. It was so much fun.
After dinner at The Rio in Frisco, we drove home late Sunday night. It was the perfect birthday weekend (minus the fact that no one got me a birthday cake!).
