We started our Easter celebration with egg dying Saturday night. It took Jae 2 seconds to stick her hand in the blue cup, Steve acted fast and saved her new dress. She was not so happy to be naked and deprived of sticking her hand in the cups so ended up missing the festivities and going to bed.
When I returned from putting Jae down, in typical boy fashion we ended up with one giant bowl of all the dye mixed together and a cracked egg sitting in it. Wish I had a picture of that! The Easter bunny left some great baskets for the kids this year. Kellen was really excited for his Planes underwear and socks...ha ha!
He also got a cool cup.
Grandma Leigh brought him some dive toys and a new train. He was also very excited to finally open his card from Grandma and Grandpa T.
Jae gave her new bunny hugs.
After a late breakfast with Grandma Leigh, Kellen got to hunt for 39 eggs! It took awhile. Jae enjoyed playing with a few eggs on her blanket. The weather was amazing for being outside.
We spent the rest of the day cleaning up our yard. Everything is budding, blooming and turning green! Its early this year but we're not complaining. With the rain and snow we're getting, we reseeded the lawn hoping to get the dead spots to grow in. We have lots more work to do but it was nice to be outside and to get a good start.
