Jae's Nine Months Old!

Jae is 9 Months Old Today!
I'm freaking out a little bit because I feel like we have flown by the past 3 months and in 3 more months, Jae is going to be a year! I can't believe how much they change every month.

Jae is rolling all over the place! She also scoots on her butt and army crawls forward and crawls backwards. She is so close to crawling but as of now, is still trying. She can efficiently go from sitting to lying down and back up to the sitting position. She has started pulling herself up on things to her knees but has no interest in standing.

She has learned to throw a ball and has started interacting with the dogs. She loves Sydney and will grab handfuls of hair any chance she can get. Sydney is very patient and seems to like the attention. Jae is figuring out that when she has a toy, it is hers and gets very frustrated if someone takes it from her. She also gets very frustrated when she can't get toys to do what she wants. She throws a mini tantrum screaming and throwing her arms around. It is actually quiet funny. We get a kick out of it because Kellen was always so easy going about things and while Jae is a super happy, chill baby she is very dramatic when things don't go her way. He favorite toys are her new car, blocks, and picnic basket. Jae and Kellen are playing more and more together. She will laugh at anything he does and since he gets a reaction from her, he loves to play with her.

Jae loves taking baths and is now sitting in the tub with her big brother. She squirms all over the place and falls under water constantly and comes up with a smile on her face.. She is eating and going to bed pretty consistently at 8:00 every night. She has started sleeping on her tummy and hardly ever wakes up anymore. We usually get her up around 6 to eat in the morning. She is taking a consistent morning nap for an hour or two but the rest of the day is totally random.

Jae continues to love to nurse. She is doing well eating solids too. This month we have introduced oatmeal, apricots, spinach, broccoli, egg yolk and quinoa. Her pediatrician told us yesterday, that we no longer have to follow the one new food per week rule and she can start eating pretty much anything.

We have had a great holiday break hanging out with both kids. I love having time at home with them and it was especially nice to be able to be at home this week when Jae got sick. She had a cold, mild fever and ear infection but other than sleeping a lot, you'd never know it.

We are always getting comments about how happy Jae is. We love that about her and are thankful to have such a fun, easy, happy baby.
