Back in February, we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of our kitchen. After some investigation, we discovered it was coming from the master shower. Steve took out the cracked grout and we hoped to just regrout and that would be the end of it. Not the case...
We discovered a very poorly water proofed shower pan that had bad water damage and a hole.
Since we weren't too fond of the early 90s pink and blue floral tile, the ugly & leaky faucet, the warped vanity, or the ugly counter top we decided to bite the bullet and redo the entire master bath. It took us awhile to decide on a contractor, then Jae was born, and then it took awhile for the contractor to start and finish the job. I am happy to say though that we finished painting today and are moved into our new bathroom!!
You can see some before and before pictures here. The shower was ripped down to the studs to ensure proper waterproofing. This baby better not ever leak!!

I'm very happy with the end result and we were really good about our budget and not going over board. The tile is inexpensive ceramic tile from Home Depot. We opted not to have a fancy shower head. The counter top is a granite remnant from Colorado Countertops and the vanity from Cabinet Warehouse was a good deal. I'm also very happy with the decision to remove the carpet in front of the vanity and to install porcelain tile that looks like hardwood.
