Kellen's most favorite thing to do right now is read. He will flip through books on his own, he will bring us books, and enjoys reading lots of books before bed. My favorite part of this is he will wiggle his way into our laps and likes to sit just so while we read to him. He anticipates certain parts of books and likes to make animal noises while we read. He has Sandra Boynton's Moo Baa La La La pretty much memorized and "moooo" is his favorite animal noise to make.
Kellen is not much of a talker but babbles alot, makes animal noises, and has a few words he says regularly. He will say "more" when he needs something and if we ignore him, will start signing "more." He says/signs "all done," says "uh oh," "doggie," "kitty," "ball," "cisco," "shoe," "wow," "tickle," "blue," "cracker," and "this."
We are working on learning body parts. He sometimes gets them confused but is getting better. My favorite though is when we ask him if he pooped, he lifts up his shirt and looks at his belly. He likes to pet and tickle the animals. Sydney is so tolerant of him and Trinity is starting to relax when he is around and let him pet her. They have decided that kissing eachother is fun...we think its kind of gross.
He learns so much at daycare and every once in awhile he surprises me by doing something and the only place he could have picked it up was at daycare. Yesterday, he was dancing and "singing" while I was making dinner and I know we don't ever do that with him. It was pretty cute.
If Kellen likes something, he will eat a ton but is definitely picky about what he'll eat. He loves yogurt, applesause, PB&J, cheese, chips/crackers, bananas, pizza, rice, pasta, and anything mexican or burrito like. When we go to some restaurants, he will eat an entire kids portion of food - it is getting more expensive to eat out!
Steve and I agree that this is one of the most fun ages so far. Kellen can entertain himself, loves to climb and play, is sleeping well and is usually in a good mood.

18 months was one of my favorite ages with James too, although it really does just keep getting better! They change so much between 1 year and 18 months, this post makes me excited to see how much Mac changes these next few months! You need to start having regular dance parties with Kellen, nothing is cuter than a toddler dancing!
