We have managed to spend the week trying to keep Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in business. Sydney went in Tue. for a teeth cleaning and to have a cyst removed from her shoulder. Because of the sutures, she has an e-collar until the 2nd. Tue. night we noticed a nasty abscess on Higgins' leg. We waited until Wednesday to take him in and he had to have it drained and cleaned. To keep him from licking it, he is also in an e-collar!!We also met with a surgeon on Wed. about Trinity's knee. She is going to go in for TPLO surgery Thursday to repair a torn CCL (equivalent to a human's ACL) in her knee. The bad news is she'll be on very restricted activity for 3 months (as in leash only, even in the back yard). The good news is, she'll be back to herself after 3 months and will be able to do everything she does now again.
Kona is fine, although we might take out some pet insurance on her just in case : )
