Jae is growing and changing so quickly, it is easy to forget that Kellen is as well. He has grown and matured so much since his 3rd birthday in May, here are some things I want to remember.
- It is impossible to get a picture of Kellen, he is either moving or making funny faces. I have no pictures of him to include in this post other than one from the Children's Museum last weekend.
- If Kellen gets to choose what we do, we will end up at Monkey Bizness or Children's Museum.
- Kellen has become a great big brother. He is usually helpful and protective. He is great at making Jae laugh and Jae thinks he is just the funniest thing ever.
- We still have our share of power struggles at home but Kellen is doing a better job of listening and not running off.
- He has some reasoning skills and is getting better at realizing cause and effect.
- Kellen has been spending time in the Preschool room (3.5-4.5 year olds) at school. He knows how to spell his name and is learning how to trace the letters. He is great with his alphabet and numbers. I met with Kellen's teacher today and she said he reads non stop at school which is not surprising because he loves to read at home too. I think Kellen's favorite thing in the world are puzzles. He can do tangrams on the ipad and 50 piece puzzles alone.
- Kellen is getting more adventurous with his food. He eats well at school and is trying more and more at home.
- Kellen is 99% potty trained. He really only has accidents during nap time and is still wearing a pull up at night. We have basically been too lazy to deal with trying to get through the night in underwear. The biggest thrill was when he finally learned to go on his own without us reminding him every hour.
- Kellen can dress him self when he is in the mood and we aren't in a hurry so pretty much he never does.
- Kellen hates waking up at 6:00 every morning unless its the weekend.
- His speech is so much better now! We can understand him so much more clearly. His pronunciation is much much better.
- Kellen loves to sing and is very lucky to have a teacher at school who teaches him so many songs because he isn't getting it from his parents.
- From Kellen's mouth...His favorite toys are his pirate ship and legos. His favorite books are his Thomas and Friends books. His favorite cartoon is Octonauts. His favorite foods are mac & cheese, burritos and cheese quesadillas.
