Jae's Six Months Old!

Jae is Six Months Old Today!

Jae has had lots going on this month. She had croup that we caught early and treated, she cut her bottom two front teeth, and she started eating solids! Despite the tough days involved with being sick and getting teeth, she has been as happy as ever and other than waking up at night you would never know. 

Jae is nursing in the morning before school, gets 2 8 oz and 1 5 oz bottle at school and then nurses twice between coming home and going to bed. She has eaten avocado, sweet potato and peanut butter. The avocado has gone down well but she isn't a huge fan of the sweet potato. We've been giving her spoons to suck on with a little peanut butter on them per instructions from our pediatrician and she's been enjoying that. This weekend we'll plan on trying pears. 

Jae is sitting up really well and rolling from her back to front but still hasn't rolled from her front to back. Silly girl, she could totally do it if she wanted. I have a really cute video of her trying to roll over and in the process was really close to getting up on her hands and knees. She has been standing on her legs with support more and more and loves playing in her exersaucer.  We have taken her out of her infant car seat and moved her into Kellen's rear facing convertible car seat. Kellen has been enjoying his new booster seat (with harness). 

Now that her two teeth have come in, she is back to sleeping through the night. She is falling asleep around 8 pm and getting up at 6 am. She is still hardly naping during the day. 

Jae thinks her brother is hilarious and has decided watching the dogs is pretty cool too. She also like grabbing Sydney's fur and pulling as hard as she can. We can't believe Jae is 6 months old! Being able to play and interact with her has been so much fun. She is such a good baby, we are very lucky. We will take her in on Monday for her official 6 mo stats.
