We've had lots of unexpected things going on around the house so this past weekend ended up being a catch up weekend. My only request for Mother's Day was that I get flowers bought and planted. Easier said than done but Jae and I went flower shopping Saturday and Kellen and I planted flowers Sunday while Jae hung out on the deck.
Divide and conquer seems to be our motto around here. While Jae and I went flower shopping, Kellen and Steve fixed all our fans.
Kellen has been as challenging as ever. The biggest issues are that he runs off when we are out and about which terrifies me and he is refusing to go to bed at night (oh, and he's still not potty trained). The other night, we thought Kellen was asleep in bed but he was cutting up paper in the office...also kind of terrifying.
Kellen has been into his baby toys and board books lately.
A little less dramatic, Jae is growing fast and has started smiling! I haven't caught her with the camera but I got a blurry one with my phone.
After Jae's behavior while I was at work for a few hours last week, I don't foresee leaving her anytime soon. She likes to nurse non stop for hours every night before bed and a bottle just will not do.
Jae's always looking for her next meal.
As if a backed up sewer, broken fans, broken vacuum, a torn up bathroom, and leaky sprinklers weren't enough Kona decided to slice off part of her back dewclaw. We tried to sew it back on but it didn't work so this morning she had surgery to remove both her back dewclaws. Poor thing is so pathetic.

Oh my gosh, you have had a rough/busy couple of weeks! But Jae's smiles have to make it all worth it-that picture is the sweetest thing ever!
