Mother's Day

This post doesn't actually contain any pictures related to Mother's Day but I'm posting on Mother's Day so there you go. My mom was fishing and Steve's parents are out of town so we had the day to ourselves. We got up early so we could go out to eat breakfast before there were crowds, Steve went grocery shopping while I stayed home with a napping Kellen, and then I took the plunge and bought flowers to plant next weekend. We ended the afternoon at Starbucks for Frappy Hour. Not a bad first Mother's Day. Oh, and Steve got me a little video camera so I get to figure out how to use that.

Below is Kellen at a birthday party saturday.

It has been hot here this weekend and Kellen is very warm blooded. When he gets hot and sweaty, his hair gets so curly. I couldn't help taking some pictures of his curly hair this morning.

Steve and Kellen lending moral support while I shopped for flowers.
Our new child proof deck aka baby jail. We totally wrecked the view from the deck but I guess safety comes first??? We spent lots of time outside turning on sprinkers, reseeding and cleaning up the gardens. Kona is in heaven, she loves hanging out in the yard with us.

A video of Kellen's new favorite past time.
