Kellen is 1 month old today!
Of course the summer is flying by, it always does but we are enjoying having Kellen around and it has been an adventure so far figuring out how to keep him occupied, get chores done, go out to eat, run errands, shower, etc. After seeing some friends' babies who were born a few weeks after him, I have realized that Kellen no longer looks like a newborn. I don't know how much he weighs but his 0-3 month clothes are tight on him and I'm sure he will be in 3-6 month shortly (which is good because I've done some serious shoping!). He has lost all the hair on the top of his head and has a bad case of baby acne but I'm sure his hair will grow back and his skin will clear up shortly. He is awake more and more every day and likes to sit in his bouncy chair and lay on his activity mat. He will kind of swing his arms at the toys and will grab on if they are close enough (I think this is by accident though). He is getting control of his head and likes to use his legs to stand up on our laps. Kellen is a good eater and is eating every 2-3 hours but can go up to 7 at night giving us a big chunk of time to sleep. He has started grabbing onto my shirt when he nurses which I think is so cute. He doesn't cry much but will whine and squeal instead to let us know he's unhappy.
My friend from OR, Monica and her daughter Liliana are coming to visit today. They will be here for the weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing them. We are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Kellen's new baby cousin!

Love that orange dipe! And how is he 1 month already?! I can not believe he is sleeping a 7 hour stretch at night already-amazing! That took James a good year to accomplish :-) Here's hoping for a big baby #2!
