So our awesome back yard did come with some downfalls...we have to do a TON of yard work. We are hoping it gets easier as we clean it up a bit since the previous owners let it get a little over grown. We decided to replace all the mulch last weekend. We luckily had some MAJOR help, my aunt Michele and uncle Woody came over with Penny and spent the day helping. It all started with 5 cubic yards of mulch...
Everyone thought we were crazy for ordering that much but we used most of it. We gave 2 trash bags of it to Joe and Beth and kept a bag for ourselves. Other than that, our yard has mulch everywhere!
I have to admit, there is a bit of posing when we take pictures of the dogs but these are not posed - they enjoyed hanging out in the shade.
The most neglected part of the yard - we gave the trees a haircut along the bottom and mulched all around them. I just ordered a park bench to put under them too.
I have also planted flowers so that everything looks pretty for my school's end of the year party next week.
The front yard has pink tulips blooming right now. We missed them last year because we moved in too late but they look awesome.

Your yard is beautiful! And I love how the dogs pose so well! I am impressed you are hosting your end of the year party (although your house is perfect for it) If your staff is anything like mine was, those parties get Ca-razy. Have fun, and happy last week of school!
Yard looks fantastic! I'll have much of this to do this summer because we are moving!! (hopefully we can get together soon so I can catch you up)
